Senior Advisor, Hydropower/Electric Reliability Compliance Officer

Job Functions Essential Functions  Assists the Principal in the overall administration of the school.  Assists the Principal in planning, organizing, and directing the school’s instructional activities, special programs, and operations.  Administers and enforces school policies.  Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body, including by administering discipline and intervention policies.  Assists in administering school safety programs.  Works with teachers, school staff, and relevant school improvement committees to develop school curriculum and special programs.  Regularly communicates with teachers to ensure that instructional programs are meeting student needs and school requirements.  Periodically reviews and evaluates existing school curriculum and instructional programs to suggest revisions and improvements; works with teachers and school staff to develop and implement suggested revisions and improvements.  Assists teachers in evaluating methods and materials and in developing effective learning plans and classroom management techniques.  Develops and oversees school improvement committees in connection with WASC recommendations, attends, conducts, or chairs committee meetings when necessary.  Prepares correspondence, bulletins, and other communications on behalf of the school; ensures that special events and student achievements are appropriately publicized.  Communicates regularly with parents and teachers regarding student progress; meets with parents and students to discuss evaluations, student progress, and concerns.  Attends, conducts, or chairs a variety of meetings with teachers and parents; attends Student Support Meetings as necessary; responds to and resolves parent and student complaints.  Represents the School at school and community functions, maintaining high standards of professionalism.  Coordinates the establishment of a Parent Resource Library.  Serves as Acting Principal when the principal is absent.  Oversees the preparation and maintenance of a variety of records and reports regarding student attendance, welfare, discipline, safety, academic achievements, and others, as needed.  Oversees the maintenance of comprehensive files pertaining to school inventories, financial information, and contracts; directs the maintenance of student and staff records onsite.  Works with the Principal and the Human Resources Department to plan, develop, and implement a professional development program for teachers and other school staff.  Supervises teachers and staff as assigned by the Principal.  Assists the Principal in the preparation of an annual department budget.  Organizes and manages UAIC’s After School Program.  Identifies and enlists teachers and staff to support the tutoring and enrichment services offered through the After School Program.  Advertises the After School Program to UAIC Tribal members and encourages Tribal children to attend.  Sets up all programming and enrichment opportunities.  Sets up and coordinates tutoring services as needed. Non-essential Functions  Assists in identifying and purchasing Native American children’s literature and other appropriate reading materials for the school library.  Coordinates the supervision of students on campus during lunch, recess, and other activities.  Performs other duties as assigned.

United Auburn Indian Community 

Under general supervision, the Vice Principal assists the Principal in the planning, organization, and direction of the instructional programs, operations, instructional leadership, and staff for the United Auburn Indian Community’s Pre-K-8 School. The Vice Principal helps implement the school’s mission, vision, values, goals, and programs, assuring a safe and positive learning environment for students and staff. Vice Principal 

Builds and maintains a school culture of open, effective communication, and participation in decision-making among staff, students, parents, United Auburn Indian Community (UAIC), Tribal Council, Education Committee, and the Tribal Administrator, and other appropriate stakeholders. • Provides leadership and support, coordinates, articulates, evaluates, and supervises curriculum and instructional programs for the school. • Establishes and maintains high standards of performance in the implementation of the approved instructional programs in all assigned schools and evaluates effectiveness of results. • Provides monthly updates to the Education Committee, Tribal Administrator, and Tribal Council on education programs, financial data, employee, and student issues. • Creates operating budget maintaining perspective over expenses and funding sources, as needed. • Secures at appropriate intervals adequate and objective evaluations of the progress of all students in meeting the learning requirements established in the instructional programs including STAR, API rankings, semester grades, and other criteria. • Provides supervision of specialized programs in areas such as curriculum and instruction, Independent Study, Special Education, and other related areas. This position will work with UAIC, Tribal Council and Tribal Administrator to ensure that these programs are implemented appropriately. • Assesses, in collaboration with staff, parents, and students, the staff development needs in curriculum and instruction and assists in development, implementation, and evaluation of lesson plans and such programs. • Develops ongoing staff professional development planning and aligns each with UAIC goals. • Supervises, and evaluates the performance of direct reports, and coordinates, supports, and reviews the evaluation of all school staff. • Designates the supervision of work performed by the classified personnel in the school, and ensures that the UAIC, employee evaluation process is observed. • Prepares or supervises the preparation of such other reports as are required or requested. • Serves as a liaison with the regional and local school community. • Coordinates facility operations and utilization of the school and surrounding area. • Manages the school site budget; participates in the formulation of the greater UAIC Education Department budget. • Adopts and commits to adherence to the California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (CSPEL) as amended from time to time. • Oversees and participates with the WASC Leadership Committee to ensure continuity of school growth and accreditation. • Supports and remains accessible and responsive to Tribal Members and Parents regarding any questions or concerns while working with Members to create educational programs and goals. • Ensures implementation of site wide usage manuals, discipline guidelines, Tribal school handbook, and other policies and procedures as needed. • Enforces discipline policies and procedures. • Fosters and maintains close collaboration with other UAIC departments –HR, Operations, Purchasing, Facilities & Maintenance, Food & Beverage, Accounting, Community Services and Preservation with emphasis upon development of crossdepartmental programs. Principal 

The incumbent in this position is responsible for coordinating and supervising the design and planning of transportation facilities and/or projects, using general knowledge of basic Civil Engineering theories, principles and methods. The individual ensures compliance with government standards and regulations for roadway design and construction and propose changes to existing roadways to improve the flow of traffic and to remedy safety concerns. Develops project cost estimates and coordinates scheduling for construction or repair of Tribal roadways. The incumbent supervises the work of the Transportation Civil Engineers and coordinates and assigns workflows.

Seminole Tribe of Florida 

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar area of specialty is required. State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. A minimum of three (7) years of experience working as Civil Engineer in transportation projects or related area is required. Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Civil Engineering and Transportation field is required. Knowledge of Microstation, GEOpak and/or Stormwater Management Design is highly desired. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft, AutoCAD, Water and Sewer Modeling Software and ESRI (GIS) software packages. Must be able to travel to all Seminole Tribe of Florida facilities and to work a flexible work schedules, including evenings, holidays and weekends.

Senior Civil Transportation Engineer 

This is a highly responsible managerial position involving the administration, planning and evaluation of the operations and programs of the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Housing Residential Construction unit. The incumbent in this position assists the Director in the oversight of residential construction and renovation projects, providing technical advice, managing and supervising a team of project managers, technical, professional, paraprofessional and contractors, ensuring completion of deadlines and project assignments.

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Construction, or a closely related field is required; Master’s degree is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a senior or leadership capacity is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel to all STOF Reservations and other national, regional and international sites as necessary. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays is a requirement of this position.

Residential Construction Assistant Director

This incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting with the supervision and guidance of all Children’s Center for Diagnostics & Therapy (CCDT) Occupational Therapists. The incumbent creates and presents systematic approaches to services delivery; plans and administers occupational therapy evaluations and plans and implements appropriate treatment to those children referred to the CCDT Program. The individual documents provision of care, works cooperatively with STOF’s support staff and participates in special projects as may be necessary.

Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy is required. A minimum of three (3) years related experience working as Occupational Therapist, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory capacity, is required. The incumbent must possess a current license as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Florida. Individual must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages required. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Lead Occupational Therapist 

The incumbent in this position performs duties as an instructional team member and acts in an advisory role to students. The incumbent plans, organizes, instructs and provides learning experiences to Ahfachkee School students on the use of professional-level technology with applications across science, engineering, art, and design. The individual instructs students on cutting-edge applications, new learning tools, and innovative and creative learning environments, to develop and encourage core competencies related to creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving to support student achievement in the K-12 classrooms. This position reports to the Assistant Principal or designee and is an exempt position. This position is classified as a Professional-52; which requires a 42 week work period (approximately 10 months) paid across a 52 week (12 month) pay cycle.

Bachelor’s or advanced degree is required. A specialization in Technology, Art, or design is preferred. Prior experience delivering and integrating technology in instructional programs for Pre K – 12 students, is required. Must possess or have the ability to secure a Professional level Florida teaching certificate in K-12. Possession of a certification on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) or Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) program from an accredited institution is required. Possession of all requirements set for Highly Qualified as defined by “No Children Left Behind” (NCLB) for the position held is required. Demonstrate knowledge in the use of 3D printing Technology and related software is required .Ability to appropriately communicate clearly with parents and children. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.
